Hi, Michael.
As Brandon reported, I have added the capability of RCS to control the UT-106 remotely. I have not released this code to the public. Only Brandon has it. He may require changes or additional features to make ORB work with these new commands. Once the coding and testing has completed, we'll get the code released. Brandon has more work to do than I do. I had already 90% of the work done. I'm not sure as to how long it'll take him. So even if it's a couple of weeks, the functionality is coming for the PCR-1000/1500/2500 series as well as the IC-R75.

Hi Bob, tnx for your quick answer. It isn't your long week, it is my bad english :-) The DSP-unit is running under RCS, but would be funny, that is running under ORB RCF, too. I guess that the driver of the PCR needs to be changed?!

Hello, Michael.
Maybe it is because this has been a long week, but I'm not entirely sure that I understand your message. Are you asking if Remote Hams can remotely control the DSP on an Icom PCR-1500 running RCS? If so, the DSP is currently only able to be controlled from within RCS itself. I'll have to check with Brandon @ RemoteHams.com to see if this would be possible.

Would be funny, using the OPTIONAL built in DSP unit in my PCR 1500 via REMOTE (ORB RCF) ! Will be that possible in future? OK i Know , that not all HAM'S have built in this option... "only for me"

If you're using XP, it's likely that the SQL database cannot install because of a problem with the OS. [[Insert rant about trying to get 2012 software running on an OS from 2001.]] SWLog attempts to install the database in quiet mode. If the database doesn't install, you'll need to try installing it by hand. A link is on the DOWNLOAD page. When you attempt to install SQL Server by hand, you can see the error messages.
Sorry you're having issues. The SWLog installer on purpose squelches all feedback from the sub-installers. It's purpose is to install all of the programs using the default values and settings without prompting the user.

I have tried to install several times and I get to where the database is created and the program has errors that will not allow it to create the db. It then will not allow to go into the program. I am sure it is something I have done or not done, but I do not know what it is. I hope some one can give me some guidance. Thanks Larry

Well... Yea. Nothing better to do at the moment, being out of work. If you got notes and scribbles, I'll see if i can put them in the help file. Seems a shame since the program look really nice.

Where are you getting this error? When you browse logs? View existing receivers?

I am getting a pair of errors 1. "Not found" Void ThrowWithExtendeInfo(System.Management.ManagementStatus) 2. After I click OK I get "ERROR: Main System Error Cannot access a disposed object. Object name:'J'. Void Create Handle().
Logger was working great, I added my own listening stations, and Radio info, downloaded and installed a few databases, (mostly SW) and I entered about 5 logs. While setting up I did delete the Initial Radio, listening posts etc after I created entries for my radios and such. I also downloaded the FCC Amatur Radio Database and installed it and it installed without a hitch in 1 hour 3 min or so. Any Ideas? If I have to reinstall Logger I would assume I loose all my work from last night in setup? Thanks in advance, Matt

Sorry, the help is 8-10 years old and has a very, very low probability of ever getting updated. (Would you want to come home from work or give up a weekend day to tweak documentation?) Gary's spot on. Lat/long is set on the listening post now. Thanks, Gary.

RCS Remote was replaced 2+ years ago with the Silverlight application that you see on www.shortwavelog.com. If you go to the ONLINE page, you can find a link to embed the app into any web page.

Look in the menu item Databases -> Setup Tables -> Manage Supporting Data and finally Listening Posts to set your Lat/Long.

Just installed Build 4414 as a new user. Instructions for setting up seem clear. Click on Globe icon, select Options on drop-down menu. Except there is no "options" on the drop down menu, just Help, Window, opacity, Database Connection, Preferences, and Close/exit. None of which allow you to set up your LatLon, etc.

I need to put the RCS on my own web site so people can control my PCR 1000, is this possible and if so how?

I am not sure what the manual is saying SF and SO do if sync is already on: m1 sync usb m2 sync lsb m6 dsb sync response is CR and LF this is on page 28 of the manual, which can be found here: http://www.mods.dk/manual.php?brand=drake I am not sure why the sync can't be turned on from the front panel of the receiver if the shoftware is actively connected.

thanks for the info, I will pull out the manual and see what might be causing some loop that shuts off the sync when it tells the software that it is on. n3oea wrote:

I have a dell laptop computer with a belkin USB to serial adapter running windows XP. I have it connected to an R8B and everything seems to work except I cannot turn on the sync detector while the laptop is connected. if I hit the sync button in SWlog it tries to turn on the sync for a second and it goes right off, same thing if I hit the sync button on the R8B. if I disconnect the LT from the R8B, the sync works fine. are there any particular settings that I am forgetting to set ? thanks.
